Haha. This one is such a cop-out, I laugh.
OBVIOUSLY I will be baking new cookie recipes, it is just what I do. But my
list needed filler, and everyone likes blogs that have recipes and pictures of
food. So what the hey I’ll put a few of the cookie recipes I’ve tried recently
here.
Gingerbread-Butterscotch Cookies
Holy crikey these are delicious. You have
no idea. Unless you have made these before, in which case AM I RIGHT?! *high
five*
I baked maybe 1/3 of the dough, and froze the rest
already rolled up into individual balls. That way, I didn’t eat the entire
batch, and it is easy to take a few out of the freezer and bake them up.
Original recipe from Baked Perfection
You need:
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup table molasses (I got mine from Bulk Barn, so I could just get a little. Who uses molasses for anything these days?)
1 pack butterscotch chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees F
In one bowl, combine dry ingredients and spices. In another bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg, and molasses until creamy. Stir in dry mixture and add butterscotch chips. Roll into round ping-pong sized balls. At this step, you may want to take your balls and freeze them, because if you bake them all today you WILL EAT THEM ALL AND DIE A SUGARY DEATH. But your health = not my business so do what you want.
Place dough balls on baking tray, and bake for 10 minutes. They will still look kind of raw right out of the oven but they are best that way, so they stay soft. Cool for a few minutes before eating - that's the hardest part. I wanted mine to look like the picture over at Baked Perfection, so I also squished down the balls after baking to make them flatten them a bit.
Makes a crapload of cookies - 50 or so.
