#14 Find the Cupcake Truck in Hamilton

This one kind of goes hand in hand with #46 about the festival, because THE CUPCAKE TRUCK WAS AT THE SOUND OF MUSIC FESTIVAL!

Background - this spring, the Hamilton Spectator (our newspaper) had a huge front-page article about the Cupcake Diner, which is Hamilton's first gourmet food truck. It was not a big news day, I guess...but I was pretty excited about it. Like come on, that's pretty cool, isn't it? A mobile cupcake store? Like Dickie Dee's icecream truck only with more adorable food and less tormenting music. http://www.thespec.com/living/food/article/533954--sweet-ride.

So in order to support this girl, who isn't much older than myself and who has clearly invested a lot of time and money to start her own local baking business (something I would love to do myself), I decided to make it a goal to find the truck and try a cupcake. We found it at the festival this weekend, and I was not disappointed.

I'm not too adventurous with food, so I chose a vanilla cupcake with chocolate icing. My friends T and M picked a Red Velvet and Peanut Butter. And they were all delicious. For the price you pay you don't get much cupcake (each was $2.75), but we all agreed that was a good thing. It was perfectly snack-sized, and you don't really feel too guilty after eating it - I find that a lot of bakeries make gigantic sized cupcakes with an overwhelming amount of icing, which is probably equivalent to eating an entire stick of butter rolled in sugar and deep fried. Num num!

Note how gigantic my hand looks! Hulk want cupcake!!
